Kučerová – Obrazy do kapsy / Pocket Paintings

This book from the Pocket Paintings edition introduces the art of Alena Kučerová (*1935) and explores her creative approaches and experiments, chiefly in the field of graphic art. Alena Kučerová is a prominent figure on both the Czech and international art scene.

In the 1960s, she became a member of the UB 12 group, whose members included, among others, Stanislav Kolíbal, Václav Boštík, and Adriena Šimotová. Her experimentation with printmaking techniques has led her to perforated matrices and a distinctive treatment of space, dots, and lines. In her work, she has explored New Figuration, a specific approach to nature, and the poetics of everyday life; she is also an illustrator. The book is published in conjunction with the permanent exhibition 1939–2021: The End of the Black-and-White Era.

Díl obrazů do kapsy přibližující tvorbu umělkyně Aleny Kučerové (*1935) představuje školu výtvarných přístupů a experimentů zejména na poli grafiky. Alena Kučerová je výraznou osobností české i mezinárodně umělecké scény. V 60. letech se stala členkou skupiny UB 12, jejímiž členy byli dále například Stanislav Kolíbal, Václav Boštík či Adriena Šimotová Experimentování s grafickými technikami dovedlo Alenu Kučerovou od suché jehly až k perforovaným matricím a originální práci s prostorem, bodem a linií. Ve své tvorbě reflektovala novou figuraci, vztah ke krajině či poetiku každodennosti a věnovala se také ilustracím. Titul vychází ke sbírkové expozici 1939-2021: Konec černobílé doby.
